So far, a stellar season for my predictions as I currently stand at 47-113. This week, we have the 12th GAME OF THE CENTURY between Co Yaw Yaw and the Boys and The Derek Zoolander School for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Want to Do Other Stuff Good Too. Our boys in blue are heavy favorites as they host the really smart kids and the Hogs face off against Gusty Gatah.
Starting on the Planes. Let's face it, this is a game where we should handle our business early and often. We're trending straight up (That's the first time I've ever used the patently gay term, "trending") while Vandy is a shit ton of meh. The Dores sit at 4-4 with 3 of those wins coming against Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky in overtime and last weeks ripping 35-17 victory over Tennessee State. Their 1 point demolition of those filthy Dawgs, did however, warm my heart. The good guys are on a roll and need to continue pounding the rock with lots of Pettway thunder and Johnson/Truitt lightning. When the final horn sounds:
Sweet Gus and the Turn Arounds: 37
IQ Tech: 13
I gave Bama the win and 10 confidence points in my BFTC picks. Sorry, but it's a business decision. I always do and will continue until they prove me wrong. I think there's a chance that happens this week. LSU is always on par athletically with anyone in the country but have been stifled by a coach who refused to change with the times. The claim is that when Yaw Yaw took over, he was going to change all that and open the offense up. I've heard the experts and analysts say that's been done to an extent but I honestly can't say I've watched 5 minutes of Faux Tiger football since Les exited stage left. If that's the case and they try to get the ball down field and throw swing passes out to 4-Net in space instead of trying to big boy Bama's line, this thing could get interesting. In the end, though:
Guys Who Work Out In The Hot Sun: 24
So You're Saying There's A Chance: 21
Florida made me smile again last week by man handling the Georgia Puppies. I look at their D as very similar to ours with great athletes at every position but their offense does absolutely nothing for me. Efficient? I don't know what you call it. However you describe it, they're not going to dominate anybody. And that holds true for this weekend as well. No way the Hogs are even close to the dumpster fire they appeared to be against us. I heard all the complaints from Hog fans about how bad their O-line is but coming into the game against AU, they had the leading rusher and pass thrower in the league. You don't do that with supreme suckage on your O-line. I have a feeling the Fighting Corrine's are coming off a huge rivalry game thinking they can sleep walk through Arkansas. This is just the type of game where Arky surprises everyone. Won't happen here....unless it does.
Gusty Gatah: 28
Waaayyy Over-Married: 27
