Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Now that's how you step on a opponent's throat. 542yds rushing, held the SEC leading rusher to 22 yds & held the SEC leading passer to 187yds...lol. I'm gonna say that it was a little bit of both, Arkansas came in a little worn out with a bye week in site and Auburn came in pretty fresh coming off their bye, while hitting their stride offensively and having a better understanding of their identity as well as better OLine play.

I noticed Center Xavier Dampeer getting some playing time in the 4th qtr...still getting shoved backwards against a completely worn out DLine, can't be having your Center getting shoved back a couple of yards or getting stalemated. The OLine, as it has been for the past three games, needs to stay put, barring injury.

Arkansas came to Auburn with a head of steam. They were convinced that they played well against Alabama and that a few stupid mistakes put the game away early. They beat Ole Miss in a thriller just last Saturday. They were the 17th ranked team in the country.

And we fucking clowned them.

I don't think we're THAT good. I'm sure Arkansas had some major issues.

But what is scary about Auburn right now is that our defense is one of the best in the country. I'm starting to think it could be the best in the country. Statistically, we're starting to creep towards the top in the nation in quite a few categories and that's with the difficult situations they were put in against Clemson and Texas A&M.

A Gus offense that's hitting its stride can score 20-30 points against anybody. It did in 2009, 2010, and 2014 against some very good Alabama defenses.

Shit. I honestly think we can win out.

Cautiously optimistic.

Kentucky had 554 yards on Mississippi State.  And beat the bulldogs.

Two dominant wins in a row, though?  That's something we haven't seen in quite a while.

Bama though.

The final score is misleading.  All the announcers talking about a "romp" and "domination."   I didn't necessarily see it.  I don't think A&M is that great.  More of a mirage than anything.  They stayed punch for punch until the last seconds of the third quarter.   Moved the ball.   And after the turds take a six point lead as the third is about to close?  Fumble, score.  Up by 13.  Next drive, score again.  All emotional momentum.

Ole Miss, Arkansas and A&M proved you can move the ball on them.  The key is not to give them that stupid momentum-turning defensive score.  I don't think LSU can beat them, but it's not going to be a stomping.  As strange as it feels to say this, given where I was four weeks ago with this?  AU might be the only team with the components to have a legitimate shot against their cheating machine.

Only reason - and it's a big reason - why I'm hesitant to be truly optimistic about the Iron Bowl is that we're very one dimensional. White played really well against Miss State, but against Clemson, A&M, LSU, and Arkansas, he looked really average.

No doubt Alabama can stuff our run game if they want to.

Makes me think that's why JFIII has been getting more reps. We're going to need another option if we have any shot at beating Bama.

Most complete game we've played in a very long time. Sure, hogs helped. And they were way overrated but still, we looked sharp. Other than a few errant passes, which is just going to happen with the White boy, we were really, really good.

I'm realistic. It could go either way but I'm telling you, we are dangerous. I'm thinking we can run the table if we play the cards right. We gotta pass better and I'm not saying we will. But we can. I wouldn't have said this after week 3.

I hope you're right about A&M being a "mirage".

If they are able to drop one more (LSU? Ole Miss maybe?) we control our destiny.

That boy good!

I rewatched the game yesterday and was shocked at how little the broadcast crew thought of Sean.  The theme of their narrative was: This Auburn team could be great...but they'll need Sean White to get it together.

His stats so far: 98/143 1264 yards 8.84 ypa 68.5% 7TD 2INT
His rating: 156.1
13 different players have caught balls.

The guy is one of the most efficient QBs in the country.

The kid obviously isn't Uncle Rico and he isn't throwing the ball clear over them mountains, but he doesn't have to be.  We've seen plenty of 30 yard shots downfield that hit receivers in stride.  That's more than enough "deep threat" to keep a defense honest.

So, in short: fuck ESPN, they have no fucking clue what they're talking about.

His stats go from impressive to mediocre when accounting for the opponent.

Against Clemson, A&M, LSU, and Arkansas, his numbers drop to less than 60% completion percentage (A&M was 62%), less than 10 yards per pass (A&M as low as 4.7 ypa), 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. QB rating of ~120.

And while the Arkansas game was an absolute throttling, let's not forget that early in the game, White's first or second pass should have been a pick 6 for Arky and they dropped another interception late in the game.

He's got to be better if we want to continue to BTFO out of @Ole Miss and @Georgia (I think we win no matter what) and he's got to be better if we want to have a chance @Alabama.

I'm taking Clemson and A&M off the board for any conversation about any aspect of this offense.  They simply were not given a chance to do anything productive in those games due to shittastic playcalling/substituting/etc.
