"Lipstick on a pig"
« on: September 09, 2008, 07:22:20 PM »
So the personal attacks on Sarah Palin continue but this comment is beyond the Pale-in (pun intended)...The Obama was reported on The Politico tonight to have played on Sarah's "lipstick on a pit bull" joke made at the RNC in the following manner (see below) which ought to rally the women in his favor (sarcasm intended).  Keep it up Barry.  I guess that he's taking advice from Biden.

Obama: 'Lipstick on a pig'

Amie Parnes reports from Lebanon, VA:

Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra.

"You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig."

"You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink."

"We've had enough of the same old thing."

The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

Here's some of my favorite comments from The Politico on this item (and The Politico is not exactly a conservative news site with conservative readers):

Quote
Nice, Obama is now describing Palin as a pig. Sweetie, we've had enough.

It sounds like Barry has been looking in the mirror.

EESH! im an obama supporter all day long, but this was maybe too far - not because it's not true, but the 'pubs are on sexism patrol. they'll be blowing this quote up in 3...2...1...

I'm sure women all over America will appreciate the reference to old fish.

I don't know how a Democrat can possibly defend this comment with a straight face.

The more they do shit like this the more i see a possibility for a landslide of Reagan proportions.  Who would have ever thought McCain could be so lucky.

With the polls the way they are and the continuous anti Palin screw ups, I still see a life threatening illness striking Biden and Hillary coming in for a rescue.  i only hope that she says FU and just waits to run in 4 more years.

And in case you were wondering what Joe Biden was up to today here's his latest brilliant analogy (this also from Ben Smith's Blog on The Politico.com):

Differing on stem cells

Joe Biden today waded into the now-sensitive discussion of developmentally disabled kids, my colleague Victoria McGrane reports, and differed with Palin on the issue, though he didn't mention her by name:

"I hear all this talk about how the Republicans are going to work in dealing with parents who have both the joy, because there's joy to it as well, the joy and the difficulty of raising a child who has a developmental disability, who were born with a birth defect. Well guess what folks? If you care about it, why don't you support stem cell research?"

Palin reportedly opposes much stem cell research; McCain supports it.

Here's the McCain Campaign's response (as reported by Time):

Quote
Please see our campaign’s response to Joe Biden’s offensive remarks about children with special needs:

“Barack Obama’s running mate sunk to a new low today launching an offensive debate over who cares more about special needs children. Playing politics with this issue is disturbing and indicative of a desperate campaign.”  — Ben Porritt, McCain-Palin Spokesman

That "life threatening illness" that you mentioned, AUTailgatingRules, could come sooner than later.  Let's hope you're right about the Hildebeast's response if it does happen.

Here's the video of this asshole making the remark so you can see it in context; he knew EXACTLY what he was saying in making this "lipstick on a pig" analogy:

He knew when he was giving Hillary the finger too:

No, I picked up on that too.  I was trying to determine who his audience was in that video.  It reminded me of the time Hillary visited that church in Selma.

No, it's not just you; Democrats (like most politicians) play to their audiences; they're just more obvious about it especially when speaking to a Southern crowd or at black churches.

For example:
...
It reminded me of the time Hillary visited that church in Selma.

No, I picked up on that too.  I was trying to determine who his audience was in that video.
...

The finger video was a high school in Raleigh, North Carolina.  I'm not sure who the audience was in the first video.

I heard on the Neil Bortiz show today a sound bite of McCain using the same phrase. The Dems are making it out to be some common phrase used among those "in the know" in Washingon. So obviously, we are all too fucking stupid to interpret the deleted racist term comments as not being directed towards Caribou Barbie.  Then Bortiz went on to list three or four other instances in the past 48 hours that the Dem ticket has used the lipstick/pig phrase while campaigning.

It basically comes down to Hussein being so pissed off that his buzzword was stolen right out from under his skinny ass, he starts calling this women a pig.

McCain apparently used that phrase to describe the Hildebeast's galactic healthcare plan.  The Dems actually used that phrase on an official Democratic Party Blog the very day that Palin was selected as the Veep candidate; here's the story with some screenshots in case the dims purge the site:

To use it to talk about a nebulous policy is one thing... to use it in any way as a reference to a person is too much.

What is some Repub was talking about some of the ideas that Obama has stolen from someone else when it suited his purposes, and used the phrase "Monkey see, monkey do"?  Can you IMAGINE the outrage??????
