Professional mixed martial artist Kimbo Slice died Monday at age 42, Bellator MMA announced.

"We are all shocked and saddened by the devastating and untimely loss of Kimbo Slice, a beloved member of the Bellator family," Bellator president Scott Coker said in a statement, calling Slice "a charismatic, larger-than-life personality that transcended the sport."

"Outside of the cage he was a friendly, gentle giant and a devoted family man," Coker said. "His loss leaves us all with extremely heavy hearts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ferguson family and all of Kimbo's friends, fans, and teammates."

Believe it or not it takes years of abusing them to have that effect and even then some guys seem immune to the effects like hogan or steiner. I've read kimbo had a pre existing cardiovascular condition that they knew about.

Funny thing about that...Slice was a big boy with moderate boxing skills. In the ring against real professionals he got his ass whuped.

No doubt. I've seen several of those clips and he's just too much for any of them because of him being so strong and having some decent boxing skills. He stays in form and never gets wild. Also, did you notice the one point in that fight where he just dropped his hands and let that guy take his shots? That wasn't a featherweight he was fighting.
