Pimp Me a TV Retailer
« on: September 08, 2008, 03:59:47 PM »
Someone in payroll fucked up and the wife's bonus came out double. She wants a big TV.

I have been to Circuit City and Best Buy. Both have free extended financing and home setup. The home setup is key because it will be hanging above the fireplace.

Anybody have any recent experience here ?

I love my Vizio, I know it is not the most expensive but it has a hell of a great picture.  Save some money and you will still be very happy!!

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

So with a Samsung...and buy it at HHGregg if you have one near.  They have the most knowledgeable sales staff (at least in our area) and seem to have the biggest display of the "big 3" retailers.  I would at least start there because they do seem to have a bigger selection.

I am a Philips consumer myself, I did research for a year and I was telling the sales men what was what and different specs of the tv.

Alot of it as far as size of the tv goes, depends on the size of your living room, the height above the fireplace and different viewing angles.

I love my philips with ambilght and if you have any questions, feel free to send A PM

I have a Phillips Plasma.  Pick the TV you want and then comb the sales papers and the internets.  I got mine at a memorial day sale at Best Buy.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.

I'd say try BrandsMart USA; they'll probably have the best price however I don't know about their home setup though (as in installation) but it would be worth checking their prices.

I have an Insignia in my living room, and it's pretty awesome. It's Best Buy's house brand. So they're really cheap, but I'd put the picture up against any Sony. Love mine.
I have a Samsung downstairs and the picture sucks by comparison. Granted it was about a year and a half older, but still.

No way they are going to try and recoup this?  Just curious.

As far as the original question, I have no clue.

Try the Zenith 36" console. The faux wood grain fininsh will match just about anything and even though it doesn't come with a remote, you can just pull your chair up real close so you don't have to stretch to far to change the channels.

Great picture once it warms up.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Where is that sarcasm emoticon that you love ? I should have used it.

An you can work on your tan while you watch the game. Of course after a few months, you won't be able to have kids.

I looked at the 60 inch LG at Best Buy. Sweet. Of course it's like watching a porno and thinking, "If I do some sit-ups for a few weeks, I could hit that." Nope, she is out of your league.

Seriously ?

Not really.  I am still the fun loving guy everyone knows and loves.

Maybe.

I am thinking about contracting a raging case of PTSD.  That should be good for a little R&R, right?

Careful. It's harder to go into the office over there and shoot the place up, expecting to walk away.

R&R ? I thought the term was I & I ?
