With the month September left to go, it looks like the MLB playoff picture is getting less hazy. The Cardinals could get the WC spot if the Dodgers or Giants take September off.

NL East - Nationals
NL Central - Cubs
NL West - Dodgers/Giants
NL WC - Dodgers/Giants

AL East - Blue Jays/Red Sox
AL Central - Indians
AL West - Rangers
AL WC - Blue Jays/Red Sox

Two WC teams. So it's safe to say the runner up in the NL-W will get in. So last one is between Cards, Mets, and Marlins.

Guess I'm still stuck 5 yrs behind.

I'd go with the Cards. Mets have some good pitching but their hitters are constantly on the DL.
