Speaking of pitchers, Cubs pitchers to be exact, why was Jake Areola on ESPN pitching nekkid the other day? There was some segment breaking down his mechanics but for some strange reason, he was flapping in the breeze. Now admittedly, I was slightly aroused for a short time, but I just found that a tad odd. Did he need to be nekkid in prime time?

I would have really been pissed if they let him go...especially for a guy who's going to be a free agent at the end of the season anyway.

The Cubs of old would have traded Schwarber, 3 great prospects and a player to be named later for much less.

When and why did the Braves pick up Matt Kemp? I have still not watched a single inning and I don't plan to do it, I just happened across a headline that Kemp was batting cleanup.

I've watched more of the Braves this year than the last 2-3 years combined. As pissed as I was that they blew everything up and started over, it's been kind neato keen watching some of these young guys develop and you get an idea of who they'll build the future around. Plus, there's no pressure or expectations.

Kemp was a good move. His previous teams are paying a lot of his salary and all they really gave up was Hector Olivera, who they had no plans to keep after what I believe were domestic violence charges.

Where things stand with a little less than 40 games left.

AL: Blue Jobs and Red Sox tied for 1st with AU1's Baltimore Gloryholes 2 back. Baltimore leads in the Wildcard race right now, but too close to call.

Cleveland is up by 7 1/2 games and look to be in control. Solid club.

The pride of WE!!!, Walker Texas Rangers are up 5 1/2 on Seattle but the Mariners have been killing it.

NL: Washington is on cruise control and up by 8 games.

Holy Cow has long since run away with their division, up by 12 1/2

L.A and San Fran in pretty much a dead heat. St. Louie leads in the WC.

BTW, I watched the Steve Bartman special again the other night.
