The fix was in?
« on: February 10, 2016, 10:52:33 PM »
Did the NFL rig the game to give Denver an advantage?

Consider:

Denver is 6-0 in games refereed by Clete Blakeman, who was in charge of the Super Bowl
The Broncos are 7-0 in games refereed by Ed Hochuli, who ran the AFC Championship game.

In Bronco games Blakeman refereed, he and his crew called twice as many penalties for twice as many yards against Denver opposition than they did the Broncos.

In the Super Bowl the fuckhole held true to form.   Twelve penalties (many drive killing) for 102 yards against Carolina, six for 51 yards against Denver.

On top of that?  Something the NFL doesn't want to get out?

The replay official who was involved in the decision to rule the catch wasn't a catch, which led to the fumble for a TD two plays later..... LIVES IN DENVER.   His wife is an unabashed Broncos fan who was at the game, wearing Broncos gear and who took to Facebook to crow that "we won!" after the game.

Oldham’s wife’s fanhood was first reported by The Lead Sports, which showed here alongside Super Bowl referee Clete Blakeman while decked out in Broncos orange.

There's THAT fucking name again.

Was he biased?  Doesn't matter. The perception is there.

Maybe that's why Cam was so pissed.  The NFL wanted to let Saint Peyton the Dick Waver ride off into the sunset and tilted the field in Denver's favor.

That's some straight up bullshit.

I think all sports are fixed, there is to much money for it not to be. It is what it is, won't change the outcome.

Quote
-Revenue Sharing is split evenly between the 32 owners (75-80% of total profits)
Included in this system is money from TV deals & merchandise sales

-Revenue Sharing allows owners of small-market teams to benefit from having bigger brands such as the Steelers, Giants, Packers, etc win the Super Bowl instead of their own team, because it maximizes their own profits.

I can't allow myself to believe it's rigged. I enjoy it too much to believe that I'm watching something predetermined.

What I do believe is that Carolina started the game with a few drops and a few aberrant throws, and they never recovered. Miller and Ware got off the line of scrimmage at blazing speed at crucial moments in the game. Mike Shula kept Cam Newton frozen in the pocket too often. Two Cam Newton fumbles led to easy touchdowns for Denver.

Carolina didn't play their game. If this game was played two weeks ago, we probably would be discussing a blowout with Hall of Fame conversations for Cam.

I keep hearing that Carolina didn't play their game. Shula didn't make adjustments.  They should have changed things up...move the pocket etc.  Sorry, but that's the game Carolina has played all year long.  They've pounded Stewart inside the tackles from start to finish.  They haven't varied.  Sometimes they throw on first down.  Most times not. If you've never run plays all season long where you move the pocket to one side or another, you don't insert that philosophy midway through the Super Bowl, which was the 19th game of the season.  They did what they had done all season long.  Everybody that would listen was told Denver was hands down the #1 D in the NFL in virtually every category.  Last game, they took Tom Brady, maybe the most successful QB of all time, who also had all his weapons back, and slapped them around for 4 quarters.

This past Sunday, they did the same to Carolina.  No excuses.  No blame.  Carolina did exactly what they had gone 17-1 with to that point. They didn't stray from that.  Denver was better.  Screw it.  Get Kelvin Benjamin back and a couple of other nice options and Cam will be back.

Yeah it couldn't have been any more "Super" if it were a Falcon's win. And maybe Taaahmy can get back to the business of winning now that this one's out of the way.

Stewart got hurt early and I had a bad feeling about that. The Bronco defender purposefully rolled up on his ankle. Artis-Payne I don't thunkith was even suited up. Shula I think went into a panic. Cam was basically left to defend for himself.
