Ole Miss drops one to George Mason. Vandy has to go to OT to best Stony Brook and Miami skull-fucked Miss. State. BTW, I watched a good bit of Miami the other day. I know it's early but that may be one team to look out for.

Miami wins the Puerto Rico Invitational beating two top 25 teams, Utah and Butler, with relative ease. Like I said, watch out for this team before it's all said and done. Pre-season #1, North Carolina, got ambushed by Northern Iowa. To be fair, UNC has been without what is in my opinion, one of the best players in the game, Marcus Paige. Dude should have graduated anyway in 1997.

Duke edged Georgetown today by 2. Always a quality win if you beat G'town.
Auburn is off til Friday. Maybe they can get the missing pieces back by then. The next 4 games are winnable on paper, based on name recognition. Have no idea what teams like Northwestern State or Middle Tenn or Mercer have this year. But you have to be able take most of those games if your program really is on the way up. Then it gets a little dicey with teams like, Xavier, New Mexico, possibly BYU and/or Oklahoma on the slate before starting SEC play.

SEC goes 1-1 against ACC foes last night. LSU was handled by teh Wolfpack while Vandy destroyed the Demon Deaconz. The Dores are 5-0 and look damn good. Several times last year, they were playing 4 or 5 true freshmen at the same time. Now those same guys have a year under their belt playing together. Heard more than one "expert" talk about them as a potential Final 4 playa.

You jinxed them.

And Auburn looked damn good last night scoring 119. When they get hot,they can put up some points. Last night they almost tied a school record with 17 3's and they scored 71 in the second half.

They looked slow and sloppy in the first half. Turnovers galore. A different team came out in the 2nd and they looked like the Harlem globetrotters.

Auburn sounded sloppy in the 1st half again, but like jmar said got up to an 18 pt lead.......before letting it slip away and pulling it out at the very end. Cliff had his boys playing good though. They literally knocking down 3s with their eyes closed....literally.
