Suggestions for New Years Eve..
« on: November 06, 2015, 12:27:56 PM »
Anyone got some? Plan on taking wifey out on the town. Either Huntsville, preferably Chattanooga, or maybe the ATL. In our mid 30s so not really looking for the hottest club in town. However we still like to , booze, dance, and party. Hotel recs also appreciated.

So far this is what I'm leaning to..

http://www.atlantanightlife.com/event/35757/atlantanyelectric2016atwestinatlantaatlanta?rf=atlantanetnyelectric

"If you're looking for the ultimate New Year's Eve experience in Atlanta, then there is nothing better than NYElectric 2016 at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Downtown Atlanta. This mega Hotel sits 73 stories up and has 2 amazing ballrooms that will host the biggest and best NYE Countdown in the Atlanta area.  Here is a glimpse of some of the exciting things that you're in store for:

Atlanta NYElectric Highlights:

4 Top Atlanta DJs playing the perfect blend of House & Top 40 hits all night long.
5 Hour Open Bar from beginning to end of the Event
Complimentary Party Favors
1 Massive Ballroom +a VIP Ballroom to host this spectacluar event.
VIPs will have the following perks:
5 Hour Premium Open Bar
Dinner Buffet w/ Pasta & Meat Carving Stations
Upgraded Party Favors
Open Seating
State-of-the-Art lighting and Sound System
Over 2000 expected in Attendance
Great Room Packages so you can take the elevator Home!
Atlanta's Biggest & Best Countdown Experience!"

The Hotel VIP King couples package is sounding pretty sweet. However I really wish I could find something kickass in Chattanooga. Atlanta is a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. Gonna suck driving that far home with a hangover and then going to pick the kiddos up immediately when we get back.

I'm going to pop fire crackers and some bottle rockets on my deck if anyone is interested. Come on over. I have a big deck, if you haven't heard. Probably make some ice cream. Will be crazy.

Probably stay up late. 10 or 10:30. Can't pop firecrackers past 9 though. Miss Neddlemeyer next door will call the cops.

Be careful. I tried that one year.
Luckily I found a lawyer who cared and he got me off!

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
