I understand that the college football world in general has gone corporate America. And it started a long time ago. I don't fault Jacobs for following the same path because unfortunately, we'll get left behind if we don't. Jacobs takes it further than needed and appears to think that he's untouchable. Only accountable to the biggest of the big donors. Unfortunately, he's right.

He is incapable of giving us anything close to what David gave us because he's completely tone deaf or simply doesn't care. But he has made some good hires. I will give him that.

Disagree he has made one good hire & one hire that a blind rhesus monkey with half a brain knew we should hire.

This is funny and you are right has nothing to do with Jacobs.  However, Jacobs was within a mommy part hair of being escorted out the door with Chizik.  Somehow he got a pardon, then he hired Pearl and Gus was doing alright so the crowd went on to other things.  Some of us continue to think he is a bad apple for the university irregardless of who he hires.  If Gus goes 0-8 this year I would rather fire Jacobs.

And to WT point about college football going the path of corporate america, not everyone does it.  UF and Jeremy Foley who I think is one of the best AD's in the business still keeps that college feel.  Also the fact that you can't park where you used to and some of the big booster shenanigans that goes on.  Doesn't have to happen.

I'm counting Chiz, Pearl, Gus and Myers. Just my opinion because of what they get credit for. 2010 was more reward for me than 2012 cost me, emotionally.

Agree on the college feel and Foley. At the same time, UF has deeper pockets and likely doesn't need as many corporate dollars for support. I'm waiting for Jay to start selling ad space on helmets and for Nova to start wearing a little NASCAR type uniform with ad patches.

Foley's football hires have been extremely suspect and controversial so far. Can't question the overall standing of UF athletics though.

I do not want to suck his balls. Not even funny. I do think, however, he happens to have nice tits. And that has nothing to do with his performance as AD and shouldn't.
