but...but...I though no huddle caused injuries? What? So $aban obviously hates his players.

I fucking hate that dude.

Quote
Alabama's experimenting with no-huddle play cards

As the no-huddle offense gained traction, a speedy method for relaying play calls from the sideline became necessary.

Thus, the sideline play cards were born.

The poster-sized boards often contain pictures in code that mean something to the offensive players lining up for the next snap. Some made headlines for the quirky combination of pop-culture references.

In Year 1 of Alabama's experimentation sans-huddle, it sent plays in the old fashioned way. Hand signals from multiple sources remained the best option.

But, though Nick Saban didn't commit Alabama to being a hurry-up team again, they're dabbling in the play card business. Players referenced their use in the spring and a few were used in the open practice Aug. 9 in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Unlike other teams that divide the posters with multiple pictures, Alabama's appeared to have one prominent image on each sign. One was the helmet of the Miami Dolphins, Saban's employer from 2004-06.

Saban said the signs resulted from meetings with coaches from Ohio State, TCU and others who use no-huddle offenses. The idea was to minimize communication

"We felt like last year we were kind of learning how to be a no-huddle team on the run because of the personnel we had," Saban said. "We thought it was best suited for Blake (Sims), and we've talked about that many times before, but we didn't go in with the idea that we were going to be a no-huddle team.

"So we visited a lot of people during the offseason to try and come up with the best system – Kansas, Washington, a lot of people that go no-huddle ― It's just a methodology of how some people get formations and plays in the game."

Running back Kenyan Drake likes the changes so far.

"It makes everything go a lot smoother," he said. "You can kind of just look at the picture card and it gives you the formation or whatever, it's pretty seamless. It helps you not look at more than one thing at a time, so you can just get the play call and the signal of the plays called in, and you can go without really stopping."

But what do they mean?

"It's just different things that mean something to the offense," tight end O.J Howard said. "If you get any sign, we have to learn them. They switch up every game this season, so we have to learn them really fast."

Not only does he make this announcement without addressing his previous concerns but he expects everyone to believe he Talked to coaches from Ohio state, TCU, Kansas and Washington before arriving at the earth shattering idea of play cards. Never seen em before then, I guess.

Well, I certainly hope he holds his team up for a minimum of 10 seconds before running a play.  You know, in the name of player safety.

The kind of hurry up he plans to employ has player safety as the highest priority. And the cards he will use will better prepare them for the NFL. But, if he's holding them, it's unlikely they'll ever see them anyway.

Look.  His cards only have ONE picture on them.   That's innovation, fuckers.  Did Henry Ford build the first fucking Lamborghini? No. He built a shitty Ford. Somebody else came along and did that shit the right way.

That fine piece of woman is Phyllis from Mulga.  The guy's name is Nathan Davis, but he's more commonly referred to as "Rammer Lammer" because of his awesome tattoo.  You can read up on him here.

Ahh, I see. Thx. WT may have gived it to Phyllis back in the day. I thought that I'd seen pics of her but I must be confusing Tammy.

Rammer Lammer makes sense. Apparently, he was one of Snaggle's gym flexing buddies at one time.

If an idiot is going to spend $3500 on tattoos, I wonder why wouldn't he get the L removed and a J put in its place. But I'm so glad that he hasn't and that there is evidence of this. This is better than Foster's misspelling of his cousin's name in his tribute tat.
