Colorado company slammed for not working in area where they don't get paid:

Yeah, it was a predominately black section of town.  Yeah, they said "no thanks, we've gotten screwed too many times so we just won't work there." 

SO WHAT? 

They are a privately-owned business.  If they choose to sell only to one-legged Jewish banjo players who prefer cats to dogs, that should be their right. 

Do I want to do business with agencies that have a history of non-payment or of filing lawsuits?  No, I sure don't.  So when I'm asked to bid on those projects, I just don't.  My choice. 

Why should this business be forced to provide service to an area where it consistently loses money?

Just another example of the erosion of individual rights in the communist/socalist pursuit of equality of outcome.
