If you sorry sacks missed the Mets/Cubs game tonight, you missed a damn good one. Cubs took it in the bottom of the 9th on a walk off walk of all things. Harvey for the Mets is damn good but the Mets him out too early and the Cubs worked the shit out that move by scoring two runs And more on base than they had the whole night.

The Cards one upped them! They struck out 18 (yes, 18 times) in an AL park, meaning we used a DH. And got one hit. That's all we got? ONE GOD DAMN HIT?

Had this been played in a NL park, he might have struck out 21.

Edit to add.. Kluber struck out 18 in 8 innings, and was relieved. Allen pitched the 9th, and also got a K. So we struck out 19 times.

I missed that due to sons double header last night. Today's game it's 2-1. Doesn't look to be a high scoring game. I still think if the Cubs can aquire a little help on the mound and keep playing like they have been, they will make the playoffs.

Braves back to 18-19 after an unreal performance by Shelby Miller. Thank you, Cards. 1 out away from a no hitter, the Marlins get a single. 6-0 Braves win and a sweep of the Fish.

Can't be too pissed with basically a .500 record this far into the season. It's a rag tag bunch trying to stay competitive until they get to the new stadium and spend some $$$ to rebuild.

On another note. Even though my team, the Braves, will mostly suck this year, I find myself really paying attention more than usual. Actually listened to 3 innings of the Cubs/Pirates yesterday on ESPN radio while on a road trip. Brought back memories. Grew up listening to a lot of MLB on the radio. Good stuff.
