I am with the Caring Counselor. Danielson for the most part is a good color man - other than when he is Captain Obvious (does that for the uneducated viewers, I guess, but I find it annoying).

Afraid that's spot on. Vern is just past his prime. Hate that because as much as we bust on him for screwing things up, he's been the voice of big time Saturday afternoon football for years. You know it's a prime time match up when you hear that music and a game called by Vern and Gary. Chills. I grew up on some that most of you never heard of. But love him or hate him, Keith Jackson was the man. I can't count the number of classic match ups that man called. I have amazing memories of Keith Jackson calling games - his voice is absolutely iconic in a way Musburger never will be.
