I agree.  I think in his position he takes the Houston job if offered.  I don't think this is a courtesy interview either.

Yep. Pretty obvious his primary focus is finding another HC gig to prove everyone wrong. And he's obviously in a great financial position so he doesn't need to jump at the first thing that looks good.

We all want it fast but I don't think Gus is in any hurry for this. There may be other good options available after the bowl season that we aren't aware of.

Although Champ would bring a buzz and help with recruiting, I don't think a 1 and done is what we need. That's why I'm more prone to be o.k. with some of the under the radar guys. We need coaching up more than anything. The AU program sells itself.

This is only the third most important position to the entire athletic department by impact. We need to get this right. Go get THE guy like we went after Pearl. We have had mediocre...we are a nine win team with mediocre. That's what Pelini was and he is being looked at by Youngstown St. (ESPN)
