Mark Wahlberg will play the Six Billion Dollar Man (inflation) in upcoming movie.

Seriously?  Didn't he play a monkey?  And fight robots?  How many franchises does he get to dump on?

I'm calling our agent right now, Lee!

Not big on remakes.

Shows no original creativity and that the primary objective is to market and sell tickets, no matter how average or bad the actual movie is. Just like music.

I think that with the advancements made in CGI, they think they can make it better. But the thing about the originals is that we didn't have to be convinced, anything left out of special effects, we made up in our minds. So most shows like this were something different to everyone. I thing that is why it worked.

My kids watch and old show like this and say the CGI sucks. I just look at them sideways with that look of "DUMBASS" there was no CGI back then. We have lost imagination.

Go back and watch Jason and the Argonauts. Great movie for its time if you were a fantasy reader. Not because it was a great movie, but because the words came to life.

So sometimes it is best to leave them alone. But hey, these are the same people who think that socialism has failed in the past only because they have not tried it yet!

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

First they came for the X-Men, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a X-Manz.

Then they came for the Transformers, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not Trans.

Then they came for the TMNT, and I did not speak out—
Because, dat lens flare!!1!

Then they came for my Steve Austin—and no one even knew because J.J. Abrams dropped the title to Episode 7.

Meh. Sucks but this is the new reality of movies. They've been ravaging my childhood for the last 15 years. Might as well dip into yours, I suppose.  Although I am actually hesitantly excited for Star Wars.

Been destroying mine for years.

Miami Vice remake sucked (although not exactly childhood)
Dark Shadows remake sucked.

Total Recall, Friday 13th, Carrie, Nightmare on Elm Street, Fright Night, Endless Love 21 Jump Street, Charlie's Angels, Arthur, Halloween, Mission Impossible, Planet of the Apes, Dukes of Hazzard, Karate Kid, Longest Yard, Omen, Mod Squad, Red Dawn, Get Smart, A-Team, Underdog Beverly Hillbillies, Bullwinkle... it never ends.

Don't forget The Flintstones.  You know, that Wilma was pretty hot.  Never understood how her and Fred did it.  She had that tiny little waist and tight ass.  Fred was 10X her size.  But, they had Pebbles so I guess they found a way.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'
