To me, this is the weekend when things could start getting really scrambled up, especially in the SEC West. Huge games all over the board. Still so much is unknown about so many teams because some, like Ole Miss and Bama, really haven't played anybody yet. But they'll get their chance against each other. Auburn has two quality wins IMO but has looked really suspect on offense lately while the defense is looking Tuberville-esque. My thoughts before the season were if our defense could get the ppg under 20, we should be a player at the end given what our O will do. Now, I'm worrying about the offense a bit. We'll see this weekend. Just some early defensive stats on the 4 teams:
Overall Defense National Ranking
3. Ole Miss
4. Bama
15. Auburn
38. LSU
Ole Miss is giving up 8.5 ppg and 248 yards. Bama gives up 14 ppg and 250 yards. The good guys are where I was hoping they would be, yielding 16.3 ppg so far. LSU is down in a lot of defensive categories but only give up 13 a game, skewed by a shutout of New Mexico State.
