All the hype and hoopla and it's the Paul Finebaum network. I'm sure once the season starts, there will be more commentary and analysis from others, but who really cares about them? ESPN and ESPNU will get first choice, and their analysts mostly blow monkey balls and the majority of their shows are barely watchable.
College Gameday is worth putting on Saturday morning because it's a nice tradition and it's fun to see the signs. I like the group that's on there, but even then, it's not exactly the most tantalizing show to watch. Will the SEC Network put on something better? With Paul Finebaum and Tim Tebow on screen? Nah. No thanks.
I even tuned in to the Finebaum show yesterday to see how it looked. I was not expecting the style and format. Way too internet-y and the attempt to put faces to callers was a fail. The regular callers aren't going to put their face on screen as they've talked too much shit over the years to risk someone finding them in real life. Even if they did, who fucking cares what I-Man and Jim from Tuscaloosa looks like?
The only thing the SEC Network did right was snatching the South Carolina-Texas A&M game and the Auburn-Arkansas game the first week of the season. The rest of the game schedule isn't worth paying extra for.
