"Beer, weed, cooches, and Honky Tonk music and alllllll night long.
Stone drunk, fucked up, I'm gettin' my dick sucked and alllllll night long."

Well now, let's be realistic about this.  If my dick is being sucked right, I'm usually going to be done in 4-5 minutes tops.  After that, the dick sucking really needs to stop. Probably time to get a pizza or something.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

I had listened to him before you posted those videos.  I find it humorous.  Right now I am still on my Sturgill Simpson kick.  Can't stop listening.
Sturgill Simpson was a fan of Ben Hoffman (the comedian behind the Wheeler Walker character) who hooked him up with his superproducer, Dave Cobb. Cobb is the guy behind every country artist worth a shit in my opinion in the last couple of years. Sturgill, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapelton, and Shooter Jennings. Which is why, like I said, the humor is a bonus to actually a great record.

The whole record is streaming now on PornHub (LOL)

Agree with you on Cobb.  All of the artist he is producing are damned good.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

This ain't country?

Not to me.  Still has that bro, douche, pop country sound to it.  Sounds a lot like hip hop with some lyrics about whiskey.

This is country

Pearl Harbor.

This thread has been dormant for a while. Lots of good stuff we haven't talked about, but I'm not bumping this for Chris Stapleton (although his album is awesome).

I'm bumping it for Wheeler Walker motherfuckin Jr.

(*It should be noted that this is a character from comedian Ben Hoffman. Still actually good music, which is the best kind of novelty act)

My favorite mag, Garden & Gun, is calling their latest "The Music Issue."  Chris Stapleton is featured on the front and they have a piece on "Country Music's New Outlaws."

There's an interview they did with Merle Haggard, presumably before he died....could have been after.  I don't know. I haven't read it yet....and Sturgil Simpson.  They do small pieces on the up an coming country acts/writers like Aubrie Sellers, Parker Milsap, Margo Price, Cale Tyson etc. Also lists 6 "Outlaw Albums" that stand the test of time.  AU1 would be interested to know that they give big props to Jason Isbell for being the catalyst for starting what they call the outsider country movement.

I just got the issue and haven't had a chance to read but a few of the write-ups, but I'm looking forward to looking them over and checking out some of theses artists' music.  It appears the whole jist of the feature is looking at artists, both old and new, that don't fit the bro country mold that's been so prevalent the last few years.

And if you X'rs have never checked out this publication, I highly recommend it.
