pinched-n-pasted from the . I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!! I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others. I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. to the al Love the Roc Thomas signing. Duke Williams will be instant offense. But in the long run, I think this guy will mean as much or more than anyone in this signing class immediately and long term. And if Kenny Flowers has progressed anything close to what we saw in the Spring game, we could suddenly be very solid at LB, which hasn't happened in some time.
Tre Williams will be a star for the Auburn defense.
Expect that to happen sooner rather than later.
The St. Paul’s senior received another honor this week when he was included on the prestigious Parade All-American team. Williams was an honorable mention selection – one of just three players from Alabama (Hoover’s Marlon Humphrey and Oxford’s Roc Thomas were the others) among the 57 players selected nationwide.
Tre Williams has the personality, physical tools and intellect to be a star at Auburn.
Williams’ 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame gives him the potential to develop into a consistent contributor for Ellis Johnson’s defense at Auburn.
His intellect gives him the chance to do it this fall.
“Tre is as good as I’ve ever coached and understanding the concepts you are trying to get across in practice and taking them into the game that week,†St. Paul’s veteran coach Steve Mask said.
Mask said Williams is just the third player he has coached in 33 years who has been able to call defensive plays and consistently get his team in the right set. The others were his son, Brett Mask at Buckhorn, and Clarence Perkins at Colbert County.
“He is very similar to a quarterback on defense in that he calls his own plays,†Mask said of Williams. “I trusted him a lot of times to put us in the right positions, and that is huge. We were very rarely in a defense we didn’t need to be in, and few high school players can do that consistently.â€
Williams’ list of honors is long. He is a two-time finalist for the Class 5A Lineman of the Year, a two-time member of the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Super 12, a finalist for the High School Butkus Award and the Press-Register’s Coastal Alabama Defensive Player of the Year.
Auburn returns Kris Frost and Cassanova McKinzy, who were both sophomores in 2013, at linebacker, but loses senior Jake Holland. There should be plenty of room for Williams to work his way into the playing rotation.
He also won’t be intimidated by the college scene or the increase in media attention. He has spent the past two years under intense recruiting pressure but has handled everything with a trademark smile.
He seems unfazed on or off the field by anything.
That, in itself, gives him a chance to be successful in a hurry.
“I think he will be an All-SEC player,†Mask said. “He runs well, he’s very physical, he’s explosive … Tre Williams is everything you want in a college linebacker and he is the perfect size.â€
