Got to vent.....

While I was chilling at the in-laws on Sunday, I picked up the Huntsville Times to read the sports section.  What do I find....? A fucking full sheet photo  of Margaret Hoelzer laying out in off of the start, at the bottom is some cheezy advertizement from like a heating and air conditioning company at the back page of sports section. Overall, cool effing picture. Which that lead me to ask a rethoical question out loud to anybody within listening distance. "WHY ISN'T THIS PICTURE ON THE FREAKING FRONT PAGE????????"  Of course I get the standard boneheaded UATsidewalk alumni answer from my bammer brother-in-law, "because she went to Auburn".   **Sidenote-This just shows what a bunch of jealous ate up knuckle draggers bammers are.**

I went on to scan the entire sports section, not a really indepth mention of Hoelzer (who is from Huntsville). Which she did win the silver in the Saturday session, so it might not have made it to press on Sunday. Shit, they could have held up the print and put in a special sports section. Hell, it ain't everyday the kid down the street wins a effing medal in the Olympics, so let's leave it to some Joe Blow to buy a freakin ad to get her picture in the paper. This is just beyond comprehension to me. The asshats at the Huntville Times just stepped all over their dick on this one. I guess with UAT scrimmaging on Saturday, fuck the olympics.

To put this in persepective, The Florence newspaper's (TimesDaily) sports section will ALWAYS tell you when, where, and how Stewart Cink is playing that week on the PGA Tour EVERYDAY. Cink grew up in Florence, went to GA Tech and lives in Atlanta.  He is currently ranked third in the USA PGA rankings.

I hate to turn all serious and shit, but being a DA civilian and watching the USAR "in motion" from another angle, I am currently not proud to be associated with the USAR. Don't get me wrong, there are some highly  motivated, exceptional, knowledgable SME's, salt of the Earth, USAR soldiers and officers out there; they are just becoming harder and harder to locate. 

I currently loath all O4s in the USAR so no offense taken from you "hating" on me. "Don't hate the playa, hate the game".

No problem.  I have been where you are in the past and probably will be in the future.  I used to hate all O-4 myself.  And then I became one. 

I was just fucking with you, by the way.  I don't really hate you.  It takes a lot to have been over here once and then volunteer to come back, even for a short time.

Don't worry about loathing me.  I plan on being an O-5 soon enough.
