I predict the Seahawks run away with it!

Halftime was good. Bruno looked like Kool and the Gang. Very enjoyable.
RHCP brought a little rock to the show with their Obama theme song!

I'm a sucker for good synchronized choreography, I blame all the Temptations 8 tracks I was forced to listen to as a child.

I actually thought he was pretty good, solid singer, good dancer, lots of energy.  Better than most Super Bowl halftime shows.

He and Verne Gagne had some epic matches. Guy still looked young on stage.

Just curious.  Why was Peyton wearing gloves and a scuba suit?  The game temp was in the upper 40s.

He never performs well when he's wearing gloves on his hands like that.  Yesterday was no exception.

I know he's "old" or whatever, but I'm older than him and I played golf in 30-degree weather last week.  Wore those detatchable sleeve things (which are awesome) and a pair of khakis instead of shorts, but I didn't wrap up like the arctic ice sheath was encroaching my backyard.  Not that it could, there are a lot of cows across the way and they keep farting, but I digress.

If I can spend four hours on a golf course in near freezing weather, why can't Sunny Pey at least take the glove off his throwing hand?

It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Got to give Bruno credit.  He has the ability to span several different genres.  He's got the old Earth Wind and Fire vibe moreso than Morris Day and the Time.

Morris was a one trick pony propped up by Prince.  Liked Ice Cream Castles, but that was about the extent of his catalog.

EWF had a broader repertoire.  They could funk it out, they could shift over to a rock blend, they could drop back for some soul, they could edge off into jazz, they could dial up a pop vibe and they could fire up a cooter melting ballad.  EWF could even pull off a gospel sound from time to time.

Bruno Mars is more like that.  Treasure is very EWF sounding to me.  But his other stuff isn't like that.  Some of his stuff I don't like.  And that's not the norm.  Usually if I like a band's sound, it's pretty consistent.  His is all over the map.

EWF did it with the ensemble approach, but you know that band was powered by Phillip Bailey's voice (and Maurice's arrangement) for a good while.

I'd like Bruno's act just as well if it were more ensemble and he wasn't as much out front.

Never really listened to him before so I can't judge all his stuff, but what I liked about him last night was that he was entertaining.  He sang, he danced, he played an instrument and he did it all really well while looking like he was having a lot of fun on stage.  So I liked it.  Might look for some of his songs on iTunes.

That is exactly what I said to my wife. He looks like he is having fun. And his music was fun. Throw in a little RHCP and it was a fun half-time.
