A poster on TideSports who supposedly ate dinner with somebody on the team (I know....) posted some information a few days ago. I tend to not listen to most message board shit, but alot of it made sense. One of the things that was said was that AJ was pretty much a prima donna behind closed doors this year. It was specifically mentioned that he had no problem ripping a receiver's ass for messing up a route or dropping a ball, but he was beyond reproach when he would overthrow wide open receivers on long balls (which happened probably 70-80% of the time on any long ball that he threw this year). This obviously caused some discord on the offense.
I don't know whether it's true or not, but it makes sense to me. I remember a few times this season seeing him get onto a receiver's ass in the middle of the game for breaking off a route early, or running the wrong route entirely. There's a fine line between leadership and being an asshole. I think that he drank the Kool-Aid and got a big head.
