We'll be in great shape if we find ample replacements for 2 very big players. Greg Robinson and Jay Porsche. As great as Tre is/was...you can't discount the fact that he was running behind what might have been the best O-line/fullback combo in the country. At least as far as the running game is concerned.
Speaking of that...more in reference to CCTAU's comment. Somebody wiff da' knowledge....schoolify me on the foosballz. Does the RB have to know the read option or is it mostly on the QB to make the decisions? It's always been my understanding that the RB knows where to go and hits the hole hard like John Holmes. It's the QB's decision to either leave it with him or keep based on whatever the man he's reading does. Amirite? Amirong? If it's the QB making the decision, I believe as long as we have guys like CAP, who run north and south with conviction, we'll be fine. Corches?
Bottom line, teams rush like a muthafucka under Malzahn.

That being said, in the flurry of articles written before the BCSNCG, I read an article where NM said that Tre "knows" when he is getting the ball or not. That Tre sees what he sees and knows the read. i was astounded that these two were in such great harmony. Remember when Grant fumbled? After reading this, I thought back to that moment.
Now that Tre is gone, will our offense be AS prolific? Sure we will have guys that can run, but there is a difference. When CAP was in, mostly it was just a straight hand off.
If one of these guys can get in tune with the play like Tre was, we blow this thing up again. Or was Tre just that special. Or will we throw so much more that a RB cannot get in tune?
We will find out.
