Ok...to put it another way:

Auburn is tied for 18th in the Nation with 16 sacks allowed.

FSU is tied for 75th with 29 allowed.

On the off-chance that the fairy tales ain't bunk
And Imma keep a bottle of that funk
To get motel parking lot, balcony crunk.

Word I get is that Jimbo's dumb ass is "smug."  The arrogance and certainty is flowing directly from him to the players.  We're not much better than Clemson.

I was watching one of the many ESPN specials yesterday on the BCSNCG. One of their players said Auburn reminds them of Clemson.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Looks like Nom Nom is thinking the same.

Quote
They try to say all the right things. They really do. But sometimes, Florida State players and coaches just can’t help themselves. It’s a player saying Auburn’s running game is “trickery,” another saying it’s “smoke and mirrors.” It’s hints dropped by coaches.

The bottom line, really, is clear. Florida State players and coaches expect to beat Auburn in Monday’s BCS Championship Game in the same fashion they have romped and stomped through the Atlantic Coast Conference.

That’s not surprising, I don’t suppose. Through the regular season and the ACC Championship Game, the Seminoles were one of the more dominant teams in college football history. Only once did they win by fewer than 27 points.

Maybe they’ll be right. Maybe they’ll win in another blowout. Maybe, but I doubt it. I’ve watched this Auburn team play for 12 games now, and it won’t go away. It didn’t go away when Alabama led 21-7 in the second quarter. It didn’t go away on the road when Texas A&M led 34-24 going into the fourth quarter. It never went away.

I thought you said without a Jake and I laughed really hard. Then I realized what you said wasn't as funny.

FSU has thrown it 407 times (14th nationally) and surrendered 29 sacks. 7% of the time

Auburn has thrown it 258 times (107th nationally) and surrendered 16 sacks. 6% of the time.

Kinda looks like a wash when you look at it that way.

No doubt pressure is Auburn's plan for this game but they'll need to do what they've done all year - defy the odds.

Worth noting that Auburn has rushed it 626 times (1st nationally) while gaining 6.46 yds. per with 46 TDs.
Florida State has rushed it 474 times (23rd nationally) gaining 5.69 per with 40 TDs.

I think the DLs that Auburn has faced are better than those that FSU has seen.  Arkansas, Mizzou, UGA, LSU, and uat versus ?  Auburn's DL should be the deepest of any FSU has seen, and with that rotation of solid DLs there shouldn't be breather plays for FSU's OL

The Seminoles have allowed a sack on 6.7 percent of passing attempts, which ranks 83rd nationally, and 13 of the 29 sacks allowed have came in the last five games.

While those numbers might be a cause for concern against an stout Auburn defensive front (28 sacks, tied for third in SEC), two factors mitigate any perceived struggles.
