You're a dumbass, and so is that guy.
Saban pretty much told it the way it was. Some was on him, and some was on the players. And that was the reality of it. I never said that he took every bit of the blame, nor do I think that he should have. You're simply being a homer and trying to pour it on him. It's not his fault that open guys were dropping balls for TDs and first downs. It's not his fault that AJ was inaccurate at times. It's not his fault that DBs are leaving people wide open and fudgeing up assignments. There's only so much that you can put on a coach.
And some was on the AU defense holding the all powerful Alabammer offense to 4 field goal attempts in the first place, getting at least some pressure on the all world Heisman candidate of a QB, stuffing a critical 4th down run, and forcing at least a few punts.
Some of it also goes to the AU offense for whipping that ass on the los, a qb that ran almost into triple digits and a TB who isn't on anyone's Heisman list that ran over a buck fifty on a D coached by the two highest paid defensive minds in college football.
AU should have won by two TD's. Our one fumble was a two TD swing. We had a couple of near misses on passes too but it just so happens that BOTH of those were likely TD's.
AU did a lot to lose this game too. We just didn't.
