The SEC needed MS State to win to get another team bowl eligible. That means more money. We will see more of the same Saturday. An Auburn win could potentially cost the league millions of dollars if we only get one team into the BCS this year.
So it was just crappy officiating then. MSU had what should have been two sure turnovers and one possible turnover voided when there was no replay. Then they did replay one turnover when it was clear and certain the guy had a foot in bounds.
I have to admit I chuckled when Wallace flung the ball into the endzone and fumbled the game away.
In retrospect it seems like he did it on purpose. Ole miss definitely tried to give the game away, State just wouldn't take it.
