$8 million buyout.  Right?

They did lose 10 starters with season injuries plus another one today.  15 ADDITIONAL players from their two deep have missed games with injuries. 

Their S&C coach needs to get canned.

They do, but they are limited to 63 scholarships instead of 85.  Ga Southern is leaving the FCS ranks and joining the Sun Belt conference as an FBS team, though.  They play a FBS schedule next year, and become a full member in 2015.

So what is so great about Butch Jones that warrants utk paying so much for him?  $3M, plus $500k signing bonus, plus $1.4M to Cincinnati to buyout his contract there

The above is correct, except that Div II is not what is referred to as FCS, that would be Div 1AA.
