Students will have to wait another week before the result of a new policy within Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium is decided. The policy aims to address concerns of offensive speech and slurs within the stadium.

A resolution, proposed by Sam Wilcox, senator of the College of Liberal Arts, which would designate Jordan-Hare Stadium as a No-Hate Zone, was indefinitely tabled Monday, Nov. 11.

In front of a large number of students and faculty at the SGA senate meeting, Wilcox filed a motion to table the resolution as he said there would be an amended one coming through future orders.

Prior to tabling the resolution, many students spoke out, both for and against the designation of Jordan-Hare as a No-Hate Zone.

“Hate, fear and disconnection poison the vibrant community we have on campus and in our stadium,” said Emily Kerzin, graduate in counseling psychology. “Passing this resolution will help those who feel excluded here at Auburn.”

With community serving as the main focus of the resolution, many of the students maintained their focus on the Auburn community and its traditions.

“We should pass this resolution,” said April Scott, graduate in counseling psychology. “It would create an environment at the stadium where we no longer allow words of hate or discrimination, so we can truly be all together, all in.”

The resolution was all opposed by some students who believed passing a resolution to solve a campus problem is not the correct way.

“I’m here to oppose this resolution,” said Savannah Silver, sophomore in pre-business. “This resolution is dangerous and although it has good intentions, I disagree in using resolutions to solve a moral problem on our campus.”

In other news, Wilcox filed a motion to move an order of future business onto the Nov. 11 agenda.

The resolution, also proposed by Wilcox followed in the same suit as the Jordan Hare No-Hate Zone, but instead proposed actions to ensure an inclusive campus environment.

Wilcox’s motion failed to carry with a vote of 17 to 16, putting both of his resolutions on next week’s senate agenda.

My question is are there really that many students from his "area" who are going to ball games?

Oh, and fuck him!  I got his hate free zone.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

So, our own Psychology Majors don't want our fans getting into the psyche of our opponents? Fuck them. I want Jordan-Hare Stadium to be the hardest place to play at for opponents...and if they think it's going to stop fans from cussing out the uat players, they'd better think again.

It's D1 College Football, not Park ball...It ain't the fucking playground for kids. I understand bringing kids to a game, but they hear worse on most TV shows now anyway. Good God imagine if the kids now were to ever watch a Auburn or uat game at Legion Field, with gun shots going off in the neighbor hood behind the stadium, right where their Dad parked the car (in the driveway of some stranger's house, jammed in with 8 other vehicles).

Auburn already is having trouble selling season tickets, imagine them throwing out season ticket holders for cussing out the refs...that's going to go over real well with them.

Next, the Arts and Crafts Dept. will try and pass a rule for the football team to not tackle so hard, they'll have Jake Holland as their poster boy. We are our own worst enemy.

I'm not saying that Samuel Wilcox's phone can or can't be found pretty easily on the interwebs.

I don't understand.  I couldn't say "fuck" or "shit"?  Or "God damnit"?

Or is it reserved for the n-word and the h-word?  Because barely anyone is using those words in public nowadays.

If they think the Auburn police is going to take their time to remove football fans who say fuck, they're out of their minds.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I haven't noticed hate speech so much as I have yelling at the kids. I think they should incorporate a noise ordinance into this. It is not so much what we say as how we say it. Let' all be courteous Saturday and remind the team to not tackle Murray hard. He was upset at Fairley the last time that happened.

I believe this shit has more to do with the recent federal law prohibiting the use of discrimination with respect to sexual orientation and nothing more. So we can't call  faggots "fags", that's all.

Not foosballz related but this article made me think of this thread.  from teh foxnuuz. I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth.

T-shirts printed with the face of a student who died from cancer: a fitting tribute for classmates to wear, or something that causes grief and should be banned to “protect the interests of all children”?

Administrators at the Lakeview Middle School in Michigan asked at least a dozen students on Monday who wore shirts featuring the name of 12-year-old Caitlyn Jackson, who died Saturday after a long battle with leukemia, to turn them inside out or duct-tape the girl's name, the Battle Creek Enquirer reports.

The school reversed the decision the following day.

“That hurt me to the point that I didn’t think I could be hurt anymore,” said Caitlyn’s mother, Melinda Jackson.

Amy Jones, a Lakeview finance director temporarily serving as the district’s leader, said the school decided to ban the shirts after reviewing its “crisis management plan” that is “based on a lot of research and expert opinion.”

Jones told the Battle Creek Enquirer that the plan bars memorials that can remind students of their grief and possibly make it worse for others.

“The intent was designed to protect the interests of all children,” she said.

The district met with Jackson’s family Monday and then decided to reverse the ban, Fox 17 reports.

“During this time of grief, we sincerely regret that our actions caused additional stress for Caitlyn’s family and friends,” read a post on the district’s Facebook page . “Today we heard from students and families the need to allow students to continue showing their support of Caitlyn under these special circumstances by wearing shirts bearing her name.”
