The only thing that lends any credence to this at all is the circumstances of his leaving LSU.  He complained about the entitled mentality and how the fans were critical of a team that won eight games or some such.  Very unhappy after Iowa loss with the fan reaction.  Cited that as a primary consideration.

Of course you have to slog through 460 pages of Saban/Texas links to find anything about his LSU departure, but I remember that distinctly.  It's why I expected his Alabama tenure to be short. If he thought LSU fans were arrogant and entitled, what did he think he was going to get in Tuscaloosa?

If I remember correctly, he left LSU on Christmas Day, but coached the bowl game in which LSU loss to Iowa, due to a Miracle type play.

They could be wrong but I think these guys are sincere in what they are reporting. It's a free site. They have other jobs. They don't make money off page hits. If they are wrong then someone is pulling a fast one on them. But I don't think they are just making this shit up and throwing it out there.
