My biggest fear from divorce

I'm not suggesting that I'd be divorced otherwise, but even in the worst times in my marriage, something like this was always in my mind. And I'd agree this is an extreme instance that probably doesn't happen much, but damnit. I would lose everything I have.

I just read that earlier.  If that guy really did it, I want one of two things to happen. First, he gets thrown in the slammer for the rest of his miserable life...with what he's guilty of broadcast throughout the prison.  May he endure a lifetime of ass rape and ass kickings.  Or:

Mr. Peterson gets 15 minutes alone in a locked room with him.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

My wife pointed out to me yesterday that he did not actually know the boy and had not met him yet. I did not know that, but she said she had read it on one of those celebrity websites. I did a quick internet search and discovered that he had just found out three months ago about the boy being his and the first time he actually had met him was the day they pulled him off life support. The boy's mother had did a paternity test with another ex and discovered that the boy was not that guy's son, so the only other person she deduced that could be the father was Peterson. That is why it was so easy for Peterson to play football. Not trying to be an insensitive jerk, but it is hard to hurt or mourn for the loss of somebody when there is no real emotional bond. Funny how none of the the mainstream sports media was reporting that he had never met his son.

Regardless of all of that, it does not change the fact that an evil was done and there needs to be swift and equal retribution.

Yeah. The article about "he squandered the opportunity to meet his son" is stupid.

He was probably still getting over the the request for mo money, mo money,mo money!

And he was planning on visiting and getting to know him. The kid was 2, he figured no hurry.

But to write the article with the tone of, "What a POS", that was wrong.

I promise you. If some chick called out of the blue and said, "I got yo baby" I would not be in hurry either.

But now, instead of focusing on the real POS that murdered the child, she takes shot at the one guy who was approaching this in a sensible manner.

Sensationalism if not real journalism.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

I just posted the second article as one of the many sources I read that detailed how he found out the boy was his son. I really can't say I agree or disagree with the writer's point. If it was me, I would have not wasted a second trying to meet a son I did not know I had, so I did wonder why he had not met the kid yet after three months. Then again I am not a millionaire that has to be cautious of scams. I will say that the fact he has had three different kids with three different women, none of which he was ever married, does not exactly paint a great picture.

Not saying Peterson is not hurt by what happened. I am sure there is some amount of grief being felt by him. However, many in the sports media did tout him as "heroic" or very "gutsy" to practice and play this past week. I just don't think that is the case given the fact he had no real emotional attachment to his newly discovered son. What happened is horrible and disgusting. There is no punishment hard enough for the scumbag that did this. I say let's focus on public awareness of such a horrible crime instead of the sensationalist journalism that is making Peterson to be something he is not.
