Is There Fairness? Of Course Not.
« on: August 07, 2013, 02:03:09 PM »
We already know the way the media is handling these Manziel allegations isn't fair.  Why?  Because of T-Town Menswear and the fact that this broker could easily be researched and discovered that he's using a multitude of players' signatures to make money on EBay.

This link goes to a rather detailed article showing how this broker has been using Manziel, Clowney, Braxton Miller, and Terry Bridgewater.  Perhaps they all did this out of the goodness of their hearts, but ESPN and CFB fans are being quick to say that Manziel is a dirty cheater and should be suspended.

http://bustedcoverage.com/2013/08/07/johnny-manziel-autograph-dealer-has-19-jadeveon-clowney-items-on-ebay/

What I don't understand about this story is that when Alabama had literally the exact fucking thing happen - multiple players signing a large amount of items that were being used to advertise and being sold by Tom FatFuck - the media looked the other way and the NCAA accepted some weak letter and even a few of the kings of college football witch hunting (Charles Robinson) commended Alabama's compliance department.

Why?  I'm not going to say the REC or whatever has some control of the media.  But I really can't figure it out.

That's not a bad response.

But Manziel is a cash cow for the SEC newcomer as well.  Why has this story leaked so fiercely whereas NOTHING that has happened with Bama over the past few years has even sniffed the ESPN headlines?

Because Johnny Football can't get out of the fucking paper.  I can't figure out why people are shocked that this is a story.  The motherfucker can't stay away from headlines.  And he has brought a lot of the shit on himself.

I gotta' hand it to the Sheriff here.  Manziel has acted like a dumbass since they handed him the Heisman.  I don't know the guy, have no clue what he's thinking.  My impression is that he really doesn't give a fruck if he plays or not this year....and maybe would be glad to not have to risk injury.  Somebody in the NFL will draft him high and pay him the $$$.  And if it doesn't work out, he can always go into the upper management of the family bidnezz.

Just a thought.

You very well may be right, what else does he have to prove he won the most "prestigious" (their words) award around what else is there?

Because that's what the media goons have fed everyone for the last month. Getting in the headlines is a 2 part thing. Sure he did a few stupid things. That's one part. The other is the media running with it ad nauseam and making a mountain out of a molehill. They shape peoples opinions through their own.

If it was that simple then why havent your guys made the paper? Because its not that simple. The media has control over what does and doesn't.

If you or anyone else here believes John Football has only been in the paper because big bad Bama owns every damn major publicist in the country, then I'm not sure you can be reasoned with, and I'm not going to try.

I honestly don't know how Bama was caught cheating and was almost given the death penalty. I also don't know how Bama football was a fucking joke from 2000 until 2008.

Didn't say anything about a bama owned publication. More to do with Espn spoon feeding the public garbage that's in their best interest.

You guys hired coaches who once pissed with the Bear. Then you tried to hire "hot" coaches in Fran who ditched you and Price who was more interested in poon than touchdowns.

You almost hired Rich Cry Me a River Rodriguez. Til Pawwwl stepped in with the assist.

Then you made the hire of the century. Plain and simple. I'm banking on that spotty hiring record next time around.

You can point fingers at ESPN all you want to. All they have done for the last 20 years is generate bullshit news stories. They didn't just start with Mr. Football.  And ESPN isn't the only media reporting on it. It's news because the dumbass cant quit being a dumbass. If Tebow had been caught smoking a joint while railing a hooker, that shit would have been in the headlines too.

When the biggest name in any sport is busy being an idiot, it's going to be a story.

Not sure if you know this, but that broker also has TJ Yeldon and Amari Cooper autographs for sale.
