In the German city of Cologne, the average price of oral sex has dropped from $54 to $13. "One woman here will even do it for a Big Mac." a prostitute worried to Der Spiegel. It's symptomatic of the nightmarish conditions facing sex workers since Germany legalized prostitution in 2002. The country's 3,000 brothels typically compete for the market (an estimated 1 millon men a day) by dropping prices and importing Romanians and Bulgarians — some of whom say they were forcibly trafficked. Sex tours lead penny-pinching johns from America, Asia and the Middle East around Germany to enjoy the discounts. In documentary "Sex: Made in Germany," a Danish john summed it up: "Germany is the biggest whorehouse in Europe, no question."
