After seeing his life fall apart after entering the NFL, Rolando McClain is going back home to Alabama. At a benefit dinner Tuesday night, Nick Saban told attendees that "[Rolando's] gone back to school. He's with us now." The 23-year-old announced his retirement from the NFL last month after three seasons in the league. The eighth overall pick by the Oakland Raiders in the 2010 draft, McClain’s promising pro career went off the tracks after a series of off-field incidents."I know a lot of people get disappointed in [Rolando] and a lot of the things he's struggled with," Saban continued, "but he's with us now.""That guy was a phenomenal leader," Saban added on Tuesday night. "He affected everybody in the organization at a time when we needed leadership because we had a lot of bad things happen when I first got there."
"I know a lot of people get disappointed in [Rolando] and a lot of the things he's struggled with," Saban continued, "but he's with us now."
Maybe I'm just a barner, but doesn't this imply heavily that now they can cover up his transgressions?
It's ok guys Sabans got this.In other news Alabama picked up an unrated linebacker named Mohando McCastle to be immediately instated by the NCAA to play for Alabama this fall. No immediate information could be found out about the High School player. Saban was quoted as saying the transcripts would be produced shortly.
According to the Tide, it says Mohando McCastle is - hey, that's weird. No college given, no high school. It just says he's been a resident of the state of Maryland for the last two years and two months, and that he likes to embroider.
He's wiry
Nice Hustle +100Well I'm sure that you've briefed as to your situation here. Coach Saban has requested that you be turned over to us for the next 6 months, and the governor has been kind enough to comply. You know...
Wirey?
Nice watch
Not only is Coach sabbin trying to "keep Rolando outta trouble" (sheltering your kids and always getting them out of jail is good parenting...), but he's also making sure he doesn't go needing money (gotta keep him on the pay roll).
You sayin' Mohando might roll over on a bitch?
yup, in a heart beat. Let HBO or whomever wave some cash around him or Andre Smith, they'll sing.
