Poor Rueben...
« on: May 03, 2013, 10:36:10 AM »
After one of the wildest rides in the history of college football recruiting, Reuben Foster fell into a funk after he officially signed with Alabama this past February.

“As soon as I signed the [letter of intent], it all broke loose. I didn’t want to come out of the house. I didn’t want to do anything,” Foster told Tide Nation.

The 4-star linebacker got beat up by the recruiting process.

"It got to the point where I didn't know who to trust," Foster said. "I didn't want to deal with it anymore. I got to the point where I wanted to give up football. But I knew if I gave up football it would be an even bigger story."

Foster nearly ignited a civil war in the state of Alabama by swinging back and forth between the hated archrivals. He committed early to Alabama, later switched to Auburn and appeared to make the decision permanent by getting a gigantic Auburn tattoo on his foreman. Then, after heavy flirtations with UGA and taking a random official visit to San Diego State, Foster ended up committing to the Crimson Tide a second time after an emotional speech on TV.

It was a dizzying journey for everybody, with too many twists and turns for too many reasons to even begin telling.

Even the President of the United States knew about Foster's wild ride.

To his credit, the good-natured Foster has repeatedly tried to apologize to Auburn fans, and even UGA fans (even though he never publicly committed to the Bulldogs).

"I didn't mean for all this to happen," Foster told the website. "I'm sorry to the Auburn fans, to the Georgia fans who I got their hopes up. I tried to make everyone happy. I hope they forgive me. To the Alabama fans, I'm going to try my best to come in and please all of them."

Try not to shed too many tears for him.  He's been a real fucking trooper.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

Sounds like a major head case and a distraction we didn't need.  Kind of glad we don't have him.

At least Rueben did his flipping before he got on campus. Jake's been flipping ever since he signed.

He's probably just now realizing bama rolls like 15 deep at linebacker and he won't see the field for the next 5 years

Oh, he'll see the field. The practice field, that is. Untill he realizes he will no longer be treated like royalty and will need to actually earn pt. Then, he'll either quit or be processed. That's my prediction, anyway.

No, it was Tommy. He sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads on the way to Itta Bena. He claimed the devil was a white man, as white as you folks ... with empty eyes and a big hollow voice, and traveled around with a mean old hound.
