Farewell, Iron Lady
« on: April 08, 2013, 11:12:35 AM »
"A man's right to work as he will, to spend what he earns, to own property, to have the state as servant and not as master, they are the essence of a free economy, and on that freedom all our other freedoms depend." Margaret Thatcher, 1975

Growing up in the 80s, Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan were my heroes. The two of them were steadfast partners and allies in the stand against Communism and evil. The Iron Lady was a true role model for a strong minded young woman seeking a career in government. I met Baroness Thatcher once and it was one of the most incredible moments of my life. She was gracious and kind and warm. She and Reagan brought the light of freedom to so many, but today the world is a little darker for her passing. God bless you, Mrs. Thatcher.

She and Ronnie seemed to form a special bond and have great mutual admiration. She def had the "it" factor. RIP Mrs Thatcher

Agree, only so many people can be a part of the Illuminati that orchestrated 9/11 and one of those awful Jooos who get us in those Israeli wars in North Korea as a member of Congress.  And once you have heard that theory about one person, you have heard it about all.

RIP to one of the greats!

Quote

"Every extreme breaks down"

In the early 1970s, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher declared, "there is no alternative," to economic prescriptions to help liberalize the marketplace and expand trade. This approach came to be known as globalization. Rising to fill the vacancy left after 45 years of Keynesianism, it made many promises, which John Ralston Saul says, have all failed. He sits down with Piya Chattopadhyay to discuss his book, "The Collapse of Globalism and The Reinvention of the World."

Oddly enough, the British do not see her as beloved as we do. I was talking to one of my coworkers from GB and I told him that if she had run for president, she probably woul have been elected. She was from a time when real leaders had big brass ones.

The world never messes with her kind more than once! The Limeys were blessed to have her.

RIP

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
