Opposing teams got lots of snaps vs AU. I don't think 75 or so was uncommon. Seems pretty logical to me that 2 and a half times a game he'd accidentally wander aimlessly in to the the path of a ball carrier, unwittingly bump in to him, and knock him down.

I do vividly remember one completely solo tackle vs Clemson where he waited on the ball carrier to burst through the line of scrimmage, then caught him, and fell backwards with the runner on top of him for a 6 yard gain that should have been stopped at the line of scrimmage.

This must have been early in the game? As with all games by the 3rd to 4th qtr I was either hammered or had turned it off.

Don't forget that we looked like hall of famers when we played Louisiana Sisterhood of the Blind and Slow, New Mexican Hot Dog Burrito Technical Institute, and Black People Are Always Accepted College of Alabama.

I'm sure he had at least 10-15 in those three games alone.
