Auburn QB commit Jeremy Johnson says he will decommit if Gene Chizik is fired

One of the most prominent members of Auburn's 2013 recruiting class, Carver-Montgomery quarterback Jeremy Johnson, said on Twitter that he will not remain committed to the Tigers if Gene Chizik is replaced as head coach.

After being asked by a user if the four-star signal caller would remain committed to Auburn if the Tigers had a new head coach, Johnson made his feelings about the matter clear:

Johnson, a member of the al.com A-List, has led his Carver squad to its first regional championship since 2008 and is expected to visit Auburn this weekend for the Tigers' game against Georgia. Johnson is rated the nation's No. 15 pro-style quarterback according to the 247Composite rankings.

If he goes to AU, Chiz is going to completely mindfuck him anyway.  What's the difference?

Yup...but hire a ”Homerun” guy and they'll come back (most will, some have already made up their minds). We need a JUCO QB anyway, someone to either take the lead or push the QBs, that we already have.

Bye.

Don't commit to a coach. If you want to go to Auburn, come on. If you want to play for Chizik. Good luck and god speed.

Would like to have Johnson, but fuck him if that's his stance.

Auburn is bigger than one coach or one player.

And this.

Some will try to use this to save Chiz, but the flip is true too.  Auburn is bigger than one commitment from a HS kid.  Wish him the best of luck wherever he goes, but Chiz is gone.

I'll say it again and I truly mean this...

If it takes losing every single fucking recruit that we have committed this year if Chizik leaves, then so be it. Because this pussy assed brand of football will not cut it, I don't care what recruits we have. I would rather have a coach that knows what he is doing and brings in kids that want to work hard a play at Auburn in this next class to mesh with the talent we know is currently there, than keep Chizik, his shitty coaching, and the pussified attitude he will let these 5*'s get away with.

Mr. Super6A?

Really? He is an awesome athlete and may make a good SEC QB, but what the hell is up with these guys today? Are there any athletes left that have humility?

Not that it matters. If he shows up and blows it up, I'm fine with that. Just difficult to see kids put up so high on a pedestal.

Now if the rest of you kids would kindly get off my lawn......

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.
