Yes. Did it not look like his leg was dislocated from his body?

Yes. Did it not look like his leg was dislocated from his body?

Unfounded speculation from the twats and other ultra-reliable sources:  Broken femur and 4 torn ligaments.

That sounds ridiculous and I'm sure it's physically impossible, but it sounds right after watching the footage.  Ugh.

Yeah, when the trainer came over and reset his leg, below the knee, I cringed and said then that his ligaments were gone. Then I saw the replay, good God. That's heart breaking for the kid, especially when he had to battle back from his left leg injury.

That's what I'm hearing. Fractured Femur & Patella, torn ACL, MCL, PCL & LCL. If that's the case, he could be done for good.

I pray that he can walk again let alone play football.

I don't think it was his femur, but definitely looks like he completely tore every ligament. Probably a tib/fib too. I think that his career is probably over. That injury looked just fucking horrible. It looked like his foot was just planted in the right spot at the right time when the UT player hit him. Seemed like a clean hit. Great show of sportsmanship by UT too.

I know at least his patella tendon was ruptured. That's the only way a kneecap can move around freely to the side of your leg. Feel bad for the guy. Good dude.

For real. It is possible I think/hope that Latt will return to 100%. This guy here did so but not before
a long recovery.

All ligaments torn is the same injury that McGahee had, people can come back from it.

I don't think Willis' kneecap did a 180 on his leg though. Dislocated kneecap - that just hurts to say.

That was bad, I remember watching that.  His knee went the wrong way.  This was worse...to look at, medically speaking I have no idea.

I had flashbacks to when Robert Edwards injured his leg during the rookie flag football game during pro bowl week.  They almost had to amputate his foot from nerve damage and told him he would never walk again. He tore his ACL, PCL and MCL and almost severed a nerve.  Took him 3 years to get over it and then he played one year with the Dolphis and then off to the CFL.

They can, but I doubt Lattimore will be back.  If he does come back, he's not going to be the same.  Not with two knees that have received major reconstruction.  I doubt there would be many teams in the NFL that would risk a draft pick on him.

Cadillac Williams says hi.
He broke his fibula in his sophomore season.  While that isn't anything to scoff at, and provides its own set of difficulties, it is a pretty straightforward fix. If he had a tib/fib, he probably would have been done.  It is way different than reconstructing every ligament in one knee, and an ACL reconstruction in the other.   Furthermore, Williams did that his sophomore season.  He still had his junior and senior season to bounce back.  Lattimore is a senior next season.
