The Dark Knight has overtaken the Godfather as IMDB's #1 movie of all time. 

I loved The Dark Knight, but come on.  #1 of all time???

That list is bogus anyway.  Shawshank Redemption is a good movie, but not in the same category as Godfather or Godfather II. And what the bleeding blue fuck is Wall-E doing on there?

Yeah, at first when I saw this thread I was thinking they were jumping the gun and all, but then I realized how these are tallied.

It's not like there are IMDb experts that are ranking these. It's based on user rankings. Because those movies are new, the only people voting are probably people psychotically fanatical about it and giving it 10 stars. A lot more people have voted on Godfather, and because it's not the super hot item right now, there's probably been a fair share of negative reviews for it.

Knowing the criteria, I'm not too shocked.
