I'm on the hunt for a birthday present...and I'm way behind on what is or isn't worth a damn. So...Dr Dre Beats...anyone tried them? Are they worth a shit? And are the earbuds as good as the headphones?

I'm also taking suggestions on other gifts, besides Assassin's Creed III.

Thanks, doll. The little turd already has these so I guess the Dre ones wouldn't really be an upgrade. Back to square one.

Yeah, the Beats Audio on my HTC is awesome.  Don't have the ear buds, but the hardware and software they've put into the phone is impressive for its size.

There are some good reviews and buying buides at cnet.com for tablets.  You can get some of the better tablets for $600 or less, just depending upon what exactly he wants to do with it.

Aside from that, there are some new games that came out recently or will come out soon.  Borderlands 2, Resident Evil 6, and Battlefield 3 are a few.  Not really sure what he's into though.
