Jmho but I thought Holland played a damn fine game and has for the last couple of weeks for that matter. Its kinda hard to look like a superstar LB when your DTs don't do shit and keep the lineman off you. That changed this weekend and Jake and the defense as a whole looked a hell of a lot better. Some of people are more worried about sticking to your guns (i.e. Holland sucks) than taking a fair assessment of what is happening on the field. You would think that if people as knowledgeable as they claim, they would have seen the weekest link on the defense this season has been #9, Whitehead. He has given up more TDs than anyone else on the team. 3 against MSU alone.

Your ho doesn't amount to shit.  The D tackles played a hell of a game.  Your boy is the one that sits back and let's the oline block him out of almost every play.  Did you happen to see where that daughter o yerz missed a free shot on the QB?  He'll they didn't even need a blocker on that one he just ran right past him.

You apparently didn't watch the same game that I did...and you should really watch it again. Btw, never said Jake made leaps and bounds improvement, just said I saw improvement. Also, whenever you post 50 times throughout the game, you're distracted and when 95% of those posts make reference to Jake Holland sucking, even when some of your posts weren't even talking about Jake shows that you were going to see what you wanted to see. Remember the one play were the LSU RB broke it for about 15 yards behind the RG? That was Jake stepping up to take on the 280lb. FB running with a full head of steam, causing the RB to bounce it out were McNeal whiffed on the tackle (came flying in with his head down).

Again, you should watch it again...watch #5 on every play (like I said previously, I saw improvement from the previous games that he's played in).

This time, watch it without posting every 2 minutes about how Jake sucks (even when we're on Offense).

Also, yes, I played football and I know what I'm looking at, even while the game is going full speed.

Want proof? Remember when Frazier got hit by three LSU defenders while trying to roll out of the pocket in the 4th Qtr? That was the Patrick Miller's man that hit him first.  Also, Lutzenkirchen still can't block worth shit.

I did watch it again, and still did not see what you are talking about. 

On that run you refer to, Holland did take on that block and he did get run over, he also took on that block at about 5 yards from the line o scrimmage, not in the hole.

The point is Holland, had last year and 4 games this year to become a serviceable MLB, he has not showed that he can fully do the job.  It is time to give someone else a shot.  Doesn't have to be every play, but Holland simply does not react properly. I see him backing up on obvious run plays and he waits for the play to develop before stepping towards the ball, by that time the blocker is already in front of him.  I don't have a hatred for him personally, just for inadequate play period.  As the newbie pointed out about Whitehead, I agree that he is not very good either.

By the way with technology these days it's easy to post and watch the game, I can rewind pause and all kind of things.  Yes I did post almost every time I noticed Holland screw up a play.

I will put this to bed now I'm done.  I will ask you to ask yourself something, when is the last time you have seen him make a solo tackle?  First to the ball carrier and the only one that took him down?

I saw Holland make some good tackles but I also saw him get his face pushed more times than not. I did however see Evans play pretty damn good......except for that one damned missed tackle at the end of the game.

Btw, Yoda, on those running plays where Holland would take a step back, did it ever occur to you that the Defense was calling a middle zone for Bates and Holland? Because a couple times Daren Bates also took a step back before realizing it was a run....the difference there is Bates is faster than Holland and Holland usually had a lineman or 280lb FB in his grill when he recognized run.

I do agree that I'd like to see what 'Nova could do (really wish he'd get in the playbook and film room, like I stated last week), and I think we'll continue to see more of him as the season progresses, maybe not always at MLB (he does need to work on his coverage skills though).
