NFL 2012
« on: September 21, 2012, 01:49:19 PM »
So, with the super suckage of AU football this season, I have taken more to the NFL this year. Maybe, the reason is to see some real football after waiting all off-season and being totally let down. What I have noticed is the 49er's are pretty damn good with a defense that is naaaasty. It seems they have picked
up where they left off from last, like the Texans. Houston is also bad ass and look to be heavy weight
contenders this year fo sho.

Watched half of Cam's game last night.  Was unhappy with that.

Going back to baseball for a while. Maybe the Braves can break my heart again.

The Braves are a sure thing.

The Texans have to handle a pissed off Manning this weekend.  Right now, brother Eli is the hottest thing going.  He's had 5 straight unbelievable quarters.

On another note, I've never seen the number of QB's to take over a starting spot right off the bat out of college as we've seen the last 2-3 years.  There's no learning curve or getting used to the speed of the game.  Rookies are taking over from game one.

Me too. That was a horrible game for Cam and the Panthers as a whole. Sitting here working with ESPN
on in the background. In doing so I heard an x-player talking about how Cam was pouting at the post game
interview. To be honest, he kind of was.

Eli is bad ass, no lie. Dude has some unbelievable accuracy. I can tell you his elder will be sore after the
Texans hammer his ass this weekend. That D ain't no bullshit.

I'm surprised to see how RGIII has done so well, and lets not forget he is with the Redskins. If I heard
correct, he is leading the league in pass completion.

How does GF feel about their new QB?

I heard John Madden jizzing all over Griffin the other day.  "Never been a quarterback in this league with the total combination of passing and running that Griffin gives the Redskins.  There have been some scrambling quarterbacks like Tarkenton and Cunningham and even Steve Young.  Then you get to players like Vick who can't throw that well but can run.  Or McNabb who can do a little of both.  But this kid is the first player to ever have that total package of running and throwing.... skeet, skeet, skeet, spuzz..."

I don't get that.  Cam never existed?  He can't run and throw?  Well. Okay then.

Did you miss last night's game?
He could not throw. He could not run.

It looked like he wanted to be somewhere else. D. Anderson came in and started hitting the routes that Cam had missed all night. Anderson.....

Anyway. Cam was last year's flavor. RGIII is this year's.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

I agree with the OP.  I have started getting into the NFL games this year because I am so let down on Saturdays.  I wish the NFL and Officials Association would get their shit worked out because the replacement refs suck donkey cock.  I was watching the Monday night game and as soon as the coaches figured out that they were struggling, they attacked them like they were little league refs.

Yes they did which has caused the league to issue warnings to coaches. Fox and Del Rio may get their
pockets pinched a little for that.

Texans are killing the Broncos right now. I thought this would be somewhat closer. Texans lead 21-5.

P. Manning got his ass handed to him last Mon. night.  It happens to the best of them in the league.

Watching Matt Schaub(sp?) reminds me of Manning a good bit. Manning is still a great QB. You can also tell
from watching the Broncos games that many players in the NFL has a lot of respect for him.

Cam Newton hates losing like a motherfucker.  He simply cannot stand it. It tears at his soul.

He's got to get better at dealing with it, though.
