I never really hated LSU that much.  I always looked forward to playing them when we did, but preferred playing them early in the season.  Some of my best and worst Auburn memories are wrapped up in purple and gold.

Worst:  1988 at Baton Rouge.  Pat Dye, God love him, was so stubborn that day. So conservative. So hesitant to just throw the big punch, so careful in trying not to lose and putting all his faith in the defense. Dye himself has lamented that day's effort and blamed himself.  Leading 6-0 (and a touchdown on either series would have won the game) with less than 2:00 in the game and they score on a 4th down pass with seconds left.  It was like a vampire sucked all the life out of me.  Win that game and guess who's playing Notre Dame for the national title?

Best: I want to say 2004, the Interception game or maybe the Fake FG game but I won't.  The best for me was 7-3 in 2006.  Was on the floor for that one and I've never seen a more brutal, physical, punishing game in my life.  When players came back to the bench, they came back with glazed eyes and grim expressions.  They looked like gladiators after an all day battle. And when they went back out it wasn't bouncing and crowd waving and dancing, it was take a lunch pail because they were going to work.  When that game was over the noise on the field was so loud I thought I was going to have a heart attack.   The ground was literally shaking. Vision was distorted by the wall of sound.  It was like the end of a war or something.  That one sticks with me.

I was there for the Barn Burner.  I was there in 2004, and 2006.  2004 was the day that team became what should have been a championship team.  Tubs stayed the course and prevailed.  2006?  Most brutal game I've ever fucking witnessed at any level.  We limped and whinced as a team for 2 weeks following.  But by God, we beat their asses.

We don't have a team or player that could survive a quarter of play like 2006 LSU at AU.

Sad but very true.

Stuck in the house today so able to watch alot of football today. Watch MT vs SC. Watching them and comparing to us. We look like we move at 1/2 speed and we look small compare to other teams.

I just don't understand it?
