For a long time, I had to buy a gameday shirt from TigerRags. They became jinxed in 1998 and 99, and have not bought one since.
In the spring of 1997, my fraternity brother found two foam Visors at Haley Center that were white, and simply read "GO TO HELL ALABAMA." Naturally, we loved them. Wore them to the baseball game series vs Alabama that spring, and Auburn was swept. We didn't suspect anything at the time.
That fall, we wore them to the Iron Bowl.
When Fred Beasley was stopped about 6 inches short of a first down, at the start of the 4th quarter, I took the damn thing off, and told my buddy to take his off.
He refused.
Until about two minutes before "the fumble."
We burned those fucking visors that night in celebration.
