XINLONGHONG FIRM?

XINLONGHONG FIRM?
« on: May 15, 2012, 05:20:46 PM »
Apparently, I enjoy making donations to XINLONGHONG FIRM to the tune of $161.

Oh wait.  I don't.

But some fuckhead does and used my bank account to do so.

Question for those that may have experience with this:

The fraudulent claims person asked me if I would be willing to persecute the perp if he or she was caught.  I said, "Yes."

Should I have said no and just taken the reimbursement from my bank?

Depends on your bank's policy.  I've only had one fraud issue and it was back when I was with SunTrust.  Their policy was to refund the charge as soon as I reported it as fraudulent, and then proceed to pursue the stolen money at their own expense.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Someone got my wife’s check car number and ordered an espresso machine and attachments out of New York to the tune of $775.00. I saw that on the account and requested information from her as the why she thought she needed a FUCKING Espresso machine-she denied she ordered it. Called the bank and cancelled her card contacted the police as we needed a report to submit to the bank for reimbursement. I called the place and got the delivery information where they sent it to here in the Dallas area.

Here is what the cops told me: Bad guys place jobs ads on local Craig list to employ folks to receive warehouse goods and send them mostly likely overseas.

I filled out a police report with the delivery address, got my money back from the bank and have never heard anything else.

With some banks you can place limits on your daily accounts or no charges from out of state unless you call first.  You should never allow any overseas tracations on your account.

My Chase Saphire card puts a hold on *any* unusual purchases at the POS. I have never had a card as sensitive to potential issues as that one. I have to call and tell them when I travel or my card gets declined.  Embarrassing to be sure but better than getting nailed for a loss.

My debit card got cancelled about a month ago due to a cancer research charge in London.  It was for less than two dollars, but I was told that if the small charge went through they would've cleaned my account out with the next charge.

We have our checking accounts (our debit cards tied too) set up for a max $100.00 a day during the week and $500.00 max on weekends. So even if they get too it they can't clean us out.
