AUBURN, Alabama -- Auburn basketball's revolving door has opened for another player Tuesday with the addition of Sharief Adamu, a junior college forward from Georgia Perimeter College in Alpharetta who began his college career at Alabama State.He's the eighth new player for next season for coach Tony Barbee, who had three players leave as seniors and five more who either left or were dismissed since the end of the season. Reporting the signing were AuburnUndercover.com and AuburnSports.com. Adamu told Inside the Auburn Tigers that he chose Auburn over Mississippi State, UAB, South Alabama and Missouri State. Adamu, who is 6-foot-8, 225 pounds, played at Alabama State before transferring to Georgia Perimeter. He averaged 9.9 points and 6.4 points per game last year. He averaged 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in one season at Alabama State. Adamu transferred to Georgia Perimeter to be closer to his home in Stone Mountain.
