So Mike Minor pitches a shutout through 7, gets one out in the 8th and allows a base runner. Now I understand if he pitch count is way high, but if it is, pull him before the 8th. Why not let him work out of it, instead of bringing in Venters? He's been streaky, and he's been terrible in pressure situations. So what does he do? Load the bases and gives up a grand slam.

Fredi is one or two more questionable calls away from me calling for his head.

I was going back and forth between the Braves and Deadliest Catch. ( I never miss an episode) Turned back to DC just as they were starting the top of the 8th up 4-0. Finished a segment and checked back in, expecting them to be in the 9th. 6-4 Yankmees. I didn't want to know how it happened. I just turned it off.

It's nice to wonder what the fuck is wrong with your team, what happened to the pitching, what happened to the timely hits, where did the power bats go...and then look at the standings to see they are still 10 games above .500 and 4 games up in their division and realize that it's not as bad as it seems...
