Auburn defensive lineman Gabe Wright will miss rest of spring with injury; Tigers rest Clint Moseley's shoulder.
AUBURN, Alabama -- Promising defensive lineman Gabe Wright will miss the rest of Auburn's spring practice with a foot injury. Coach Gene Chizik confirmed the move Monday.
Chizik said he hoped Wright would be back for the fall.
Two other important defensive linemen, Nosa Eguae and Ken Carter, are missing spring practice with injuries, too.
"As the numbers dwindle, some of these guys will have to step up," Chizik said after the third practice of the spring.
A review of Monday's workout -- the first in pads -- found that quarterback Clint Moseley didn't throw.
"His shoulder is just sore," Chizik said, who said the Tigers are simply playing it smart.
**Chizik offered a modest review of the practice.
"I thought today was OK. I didn't think it was great," he said. "They picked it up at the end.
"We're trying to develop the physicality we need. I think we're a ways off. Wednesday, we expect to be more physical.
"The physicality of the game is the No. 1 thing."

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall said, "Guys don't mind hitting Michael Vick in the open field, but when you see Cam, you have to think about how you're going to tackle him. He's like a big tight end coming at you."
